Happy Thanksgivingonisty!

So, on this day of thanks, I realized that we actually put very little emphasis on that aspect. I mean, we feel thanks, but by the time I've gorged myself completely, twice over, I have no thanks whatsover for food. I loathe it, even. I find myself being thankful for things that counteract this meal supposedly indicating thanks for prosperity and for the country we live in--like running, or exercise...friends, water...and wonderful leftovers that I can eat again when I am no longer detesting even the thought of food. Ironic, isn't it? The day I am supposed to be most thankful for what I have, I feel disgusted about just how much, how excessive much I DO have. Life is funny like that, I suppose.

Right, well, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

The Magic continues

So music is one of my favorite things. Good music. Classical music. Mussorgsky falls into that category. Combine that goodness with something magical...like a magic show...and what do you have? A night of wonder and contemplation. Seriously, how can I 5'2'' woman be shrunk down to 1 foot high, with both feet/head disappearing? Or how about that Metamorphoses grand finale! Here's how it went down:

put hand cuffs on the man; put him in a bag; tie the bag; put in into a box (which has already been proven to be normal), and lock each side with a bolt.

The magician/woman stands on top of the box, wearing black mind you, pulls up the curtain for no longer than 4 seconds, and when it drops again, it's the man!

And then we open the box, undoing all four locks and untying the bag...and it's the woman! Wearing a festive patriotic outfit...

Tell me, how does that work?
